Jackie Morris
Website of Jackie Morris, the highly acclaimed illustrator of Ted Hughes‘s How the whale became and many other children’s books. This is the seventh year in which the MBF has commissioned a Christmas card design from Jackie, and this year‘s commission is entitled City of Music. It will be available to buy online along with the MBF’s other cards from 1st September 2006.
Xavier Pick
Website of the London artist Xavier Pick, who has also designed an MBF Christmas card for 2006. A lecturer at the Royal College of Art with an extensive interest in music, particularly live performance, Xavier‘s design is called Trumpet over London. It will be available to buy online along with the MBF’s other cards from 1st September 2006.
Sounding Art
Website of the artist Jane Mackay, who specialises in creating ‘synaesthetic’ images; the images she visualises when listening to music. In 2005 the MBF commissioned a Christmas card from Jane; a painting based on a 1962 recording of Ralph Vaughan Williams‘s ’Fantasia on Christmas Carols'.

Website of the musical giftware shop in Burley, Hants offering a variety of products including books, stationery, kitchenware, musical toys, model instruments, greetings cards as well as a whole variety of musical gift ideas. Friends of the MBF are currently entitled to a 10% discount on products. Purchases must be made at the shop in Burley and discounts will only be available on production of a valid Friends membership card.
