MBF Songwriting Awards
The MBF Songwriting Awards are now in their sixth year and have established a high profile within the UK songwriting industry. Acclaimed songwriter Guy Chambers has chaired the judging panel for the past four years, working with other high profile songwriters including Cathy Dennis, Nik Kershaw and Dan Gillespie-Sells. Previous winners include The Wombats, Katie Doherty and Justin Saltmeris (pictured below).
To enter you must be studying on a popular or commercial music degree in the UK and be nominated by your Head of Course. Those who pass the shortlisting stage will be selected to perform at the live showcase final at The Bedford in Balham, London on Tuesday 25 November.
A main award of £5,000 is available on the night to the applicant whose songwriting talent most impresses the judging panel, with further MBF Development awards available.
