The Musicians Benevolent Fund makes awards to emerging ensembles who are generating a significant impact within their chosen field of music and have a genuine commitment to creating a name as a professional ensemble.
Ensembles should either be at postgraduate level or within the first two years of a
professional career.
Awards are available for development projects such as summer course fees, masterclasses, recordings, coaching, competition costs, promotion.
The awards are open to ensembles with between 2 and 10 members:
- where the average age of members is under 27 at the date of application
- whose members are British/Irish or have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years
- who can demonstrate excellence in their chosen musical field
